A Bucket List

It seems to me the idea of a bucket list is a relatively new thing and whilst I was failing miserably to find out if that was in fact true, I came upon something else. A reverse bucket list. Now I assumed this meant all the things you have absolutely no intention of doing, but it seems I’m wrong.
“A bucket list is what you want to do; a reverse bucket list is what you’ve already done.”
Who knew?
However, I digress.

I’ve been quiet these last few weeks, a bit short of inspiration if I’m honest, though I have been having fun with my niece and her family (I can still play football, but the morning after I feel like I need a double hip replacement!) and I’ve been knitting again too. Just take a look at this little beauty.

Over the years Peter and I did a lot of D.I.Y. Jobs big and small, usually on a tight budget, culminating in the renovations of the house and garden here at ‘Grassy Bottom’, where we clearly needed some professional help. Even so, we still did a lot of the work ourselves.

I’m fed up with Brexit, just like 99% of the British public and probably the rest of the world too. Do you remember what I wrote back in June 2016 Here’s the relevant bit.
“However, there is no magic switch and when I think of all the money and time that would be spent/wasted on the subsequent battle to disentangle ourselves, it makes me shudder.”
Surely I can’t have been the only one who could see this coming?

Adrian fitted the new door on the porch before Xmas but just like in the old Flanders and Swan song, ‘The Gas Man Cometh’, (you have to be of a certain age to understand that) it revealed short comings in the brickwork on the corner, which would need serious attention after Xmas.
