Not Our Best Week

At the end of a week that saw Peter pull a muscle in his back, no sign of the replacement shelves and Leonard at the vet with cat flu, I thought it might be a good idea to end on a high.
Twelve months ago we were still a few days from moving in and outside the back door was a pile of builders rubble and old carpets.
All this debris was hiding another of Gladys’s planting combinations from us. Look at it now.
Bluebells, heuchera, euphorbia, variegated periwinkle and a dark pink paeony just in bud. Good old Gladys.
I’m also pleased to say that Leonard is on the road to a full recovery.
