In all the weeks I’ve been writing this blog I haven’t said much about the garden, well I’m about to put that right now.
Book Shelves

After successfully fitting out the kitchen cupboard with recycled shelving last week, we turned our attention to the book shelves which will go in the alcoves at each side of the chimney breast in the big dining kitchen.
Our First Rainbow

Well it’s Thursday morning and not an up-stand or stand-up in sight, so we’ve been filling our time with sitting in the garden (well it’s been very warm!) and putting shelves up.

After the excitement of Monday, week 17 settled down into lots of sitting around in the garden doing nothing (well the sun was shining and we deserve a rest!) and finished with a nice surprise.

Week 17 started early this morning with the arrival of Adrian and the boys to do the work on the chimney.

Week 16 consisted mostly of ‘finishing off’ type jobs. Why is it that such seemingly small things seem to drag on for days? Also we’ve got the pleasure of another visit from ‘Stand-up Steve’ to look forward to, as we have a leaking radiator.

As well as keeping a photographic record of the work, week by week, it has always been my intention to show a few ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots to illustrate the improvements (hopefully) we have made.
