Want to see some ‘before’ and ‘almost after but not quite’ pics?
These were the main steps at the front of the house down to the garden before work began.
This is what they look like now, with solid York Stone slabs and ‘Adrian’s Wall’ replacing the infamous ‘gravestones’.
Peter says he half expects to see Penelope Keith glide down them in a long frock!
That comment will only make sense to people of a certain age who used to enjoy the Morecambe and Wise Christmas TV Specials during the 70’s.
Obviously we still need lots of top soil to sort out the various levels, some grass seed to repair the lawn and finally some gravel to make the paths, but I do feel like we’re making some progress.
I’ve added just one more picture for the ornithologically minded among you.
Well done if you spotted the wood pigeon sat on top of the acer at the left-hand side.
