I’ve recently watched the Xmas episode of ‘The Good Life’. It still makes me laugh after all these years and I just had a ‘Margot moment’ when I was choosing my title!

I’ve been struggling for days now, wondering what to write in the light of recent, horrific, world events, but I don’t seem to have the words.
Then I came upon this, written by a French man whose wife was killed on Friday night.
If you haven’t already seen it, it’s very moving, beautifully defiant and far better than anything I could write.

It will soon be that time when traditionally we stop and take stock of the ups and downs, highs and lows of the year that is almost gone.
