Two Years

After the excitement of the stick insects, things have returned to a more leisurely pace here at No.14!!
I’m still getting plenty of exercise digging the garden, as you can see in the first picture, but realistically not much is going to happen now until after Xmas, (more on that in the coming weeks) except I really want to get the grass at the front sorted if possible. Turf or seed? That is the question.
But that is a subject for another day.
So what do I write about instead? Why, cats of course because there is no-one on the planet who knows how to do a ‘leisurely pace’ better than cats.
Suki just likes to chill, on the front bench above, or in the sitting room, she’s equally relaxed in both.
Poppy likes to take in the spectacular view across the playing field to the woods and hills beyond,
whilst Grayson continues to find ever more strange things to drink out of,
that is when he’s not catching some rays,
or snoozing with cousin Billy.
I’m going to finish with a short story.
Have you ever dreamed of being on a quiz show and knowing all the answers? I’m sure we all have at some point.
Imagine. Final round of the BBC quiz show ‘Pointless’, the chance to win big money if you find a pointless answer, there are 3 chances, but few people find one, let alone all three.
I haven’t watched the show for a long time, and I’d actually forgotten about this.
The category that was chosen by the contestants in the final was ‘Breeds of Domestic Cat’, they didn’t win, but I actually got 3 pointless answers.
Fat lot of good it did me sat at home on the sofa, but it made me smile when I remembered about it the other day, don’t know why I haven’t written about it before.
What were my 3 pointless answers?
Scottish Fold, Ragdoll and Turkish Van. I don’t doubt if I’d actually been on the programme I wouldn’t have been able to remember my own name!
