We always knew the original garage and shed would have to go, but when we decided last year to build new ones I don’t think either of us realised just how hard it would be. We’re now approaching the first birthday of the new garage/shed so I thought I’d take a look back at how we got here.
Back in September 2014, we thought it was an achievement just to have got rid of the old garage and shed and have the site cleared. How little did we know!
It wasn’t until January 2016 that the work actually began on digging out and leveling the ground,
and laying the foundations.
Then the bricks arrived
followed by scaffolding
and a roof.
Then some brushing out was required,
and the ‘swallow’ curtain was installed.
Finally in July the shed doors were hung,
and so in a little over 2 years we’ve gone from this, the old shed, garage and steps
to this
