We Really Need A Shed
Posted By Judith on 13th May 2015
On Monday we thought we deserved a day off so went to Skegness for the afternoon. Even though we were at the seaside DIY and home improvements were never far from our thoughts.
For example, in ‘Poundland’ we bought, amongst other things, a 2′ long spirit level replete with 3 bubbles and a ruler for, you guessed it, £1.
We have more DIY paraphernalia now than we’ve ever had. You can see some of it here.
This is a corner of what passes for our front sitting room, though we haven’t got round to decorating it yet so no harm being done, but you can see what I mean about a shed.
Meanwhile in an independent, Skegness department store we went looking for curtains.
We need 2 matching pairs of different sizes for the 2 windows in the dining/kitchen. Imagine our surprise when we found the perfect 2 pairs.
Imagine my surprise when we bought them! Sometimes Peter can take weeks, even months over a purchase and rarely buys on impulse.
What made these irresistible? The price.
They were reduced, and I’m not talking a ‘D.F.S. Sofa’ type reduction. This was a proper price cut. We saved almost £90 on the 2 pairs.
I’ll put it towards the cost of a shed!!
