Two’s Company
Posted By Judith on 14th May 2018
It is said that ‘2 heads are better than one’ and although some people do prefer their own company I think it is fair to say that in general being one of a pair is better than being alone.
But before you run away with the idea that this post is going to be deep and meaningful, don’t worry you couldn’t be more wrong, it’s simply about pairs of things that might make you smile.
Let’s start for example with my habit of using pairs of carefully colour co-ordinated clothes pegs when hanging my washing on the line. (Yes Julie I’m still doing it!)
If that’s a little ‘OCD’ for your taste you might prefer the bizarre in the form of a pair of hand carved wooden dragons that Peter made into a bed-head many years ago.
Still not for you?
Perhaps Betty and Wilma are more to your liking,
or if you prefer your cats with a bit more life in them here are Linus and Grover in 1990 celebrating their first Xmas. Dulcie and Creamer who we got a few years later will be appearing in their own story in the next few weeks.
Or maybe you prefer dogs in which case here are the beautiful Arran and Skye who you’ve met before.
However a couple you certainly haven’t met before are these two, Litmus and Lupin, the newest additions to our garden, watched over by Dan, one of the oldest.
I could go on, in fact I was just getting into my stride and warming to my task when I realised not all pairs of things are cute or cuddly.
I think I need to lie down in a darkened room!
