At Last

At last on Wednesday, after an enforced break of 3 weeks, 1,000 ‘Selbourne Red Multi’ bricks were delivered. More will follow, but at least they gave Adrian something to start with.
Brett had to transport them all from the roadside to the various sites in the garden, in a wheel barrow. I’ve already shown you the piles around the garage.
Here are some of them piled along what will become the retaining wall for my new vegetable bed,
and here you can see it from a different angle.
The observant among you might notice that Peter got his way about the tree stump, which now lies, forlorn, waiting to be cut up and taken away. You might also notice the pile of horse manure I collected from up the road, waiting to be dug in.
Meanwhile, the 4 corners of the garage have been built up to ground level as have the adjoining walls, and then covered with hessian to protect from the frost.
Fingers crossed for dry weather next week.
