Weather

I’m so tired of complaining about the weather I’m beginning to bore myself, so here’s a weather story with a slight twist.

Many months ago I signed up on the BBC’s ‘Weatherwatchers’ site, my main aim being to get one of my ‘snaps’ shown on TV at the beginning of the ‘Look North’ weather report.

Until now I haven’t taken many pictures that are weather related, but when the heavens opened on Sunday and I ‘snapped’ the 4×4 going through the big puddle, I thought I’d send it in.

Imagine my surprise when I received an e mail from a BBC producer asking if I would like to take part in a chat with the ‘Look North’ weather presenter Paul Hudson for his regular weather show on BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Each week he has a light-hearted chat with a local ‘Weatherwatcher’ about what’s been happening weatherwise in their area.

Did I accept the invitation? Those who know me well will know the answer!!

Meanwhile a small amount of progress has been made in the garden. The long awaited wall along the length of the drive was started,

and finished.

Now we need to fill the resulting flower bed with top soil, having first removed the vile sticky mess of clay and chalk which is in it now. Not an easy task when everything is so wet.

The slabs we want for the second lot of steps are out of stock so things are on hold again until they arrive. Then there will be more hardcore before a final layer of the proper gravel.

And finally,

R.I.P Jo Cox MP. Everyone seems to agree she was one of the good guys.
