I Didn’t Think It Would Be So Bad

You could be forgiven for thinking this is my opinion on the aftermath of the EU referendum, but in fact it’s about the England football team’s woeful display on Monday night, when they were beaten 2-1 by Iceland.
All the sports pundits have already said all that needs to be said far more eloquently than me, so I’ll just say this, they were RUBBISH. They played like a team who had only just met and there were times I actually thought Rooney was playing for the opposition!
So, good luck Iceland, I hope you dish out a similar humiliation to France at the weekend. Good luck also to Wales who play Belgium.
Briefly, on the subject of politics, the notion of Boris Johnson becoming PM fills me with fear and should Trump also succeed, hairdressers across the world will be hanging up their scissors in disgust.
Here at Grassy Bottom the weather continues to be disappointing (wet) as we await the arrival of the final top layer of gravel and the shed doors. I expect I’ll be writing more when they arrive.
