Sunshine

At last some decent weather, the last 2 days have been warm with wall-to-wall sunshine.
Work has continued on the garage roof with the lengths of wood trimmed off and the soffits and fascia boards fitted, we’re now waiting for the roof man to come.
Elsewhere my ‘Spring’ flower bed has peaked. It was in a terrible state when we moved in, full of couch grass and brambles, though had undoubtedly been magnificent in it’s day. I managed to clear it with a combination of weedkiller and brute force, with as little collateral damage as possible.
Last Autumn I planted lots of bulbs. It’s been a picture these last few weeks, a splash of colour in an otherwise drab world. I’ve been trying to take a decent photo of it for weeks too, but non seem to do it justice.
This is the best of the bunch.
I’m going to plant even more bulbs for next year, so it should be even better. Let’s hope my photographic skills will have improved by then!
