A Top Tip

Here’s a top tip, and I bet if you try until you’re 100 you’ll never guess what it is.

If you’re new to an area and want to meet people, or perhaps you’re not new but want to extend your circle of friends, I have the perfect solution.

Get some work done that involves wooden pallets, pile them up on the verge outside your house and wait for the queue to form.

Over the last few months we’ve had loads of pallets. The chap up the road, who makes honey and wants them to stand his bee hives on, gets ‘first dibs’.

Then there was the chap who just needed 1 to finish off the compost bin he was making for his children. Personally I’ve always used vegetable peelings, plant prunings and grass cuttings, but I’m always open to new ideas!!

I’m no pallet expert, so I was intrigued by the lady who wanted a particular design pallet for her pygmy goats to play on.

Every day’s a school day at ‘Grassy Bottom’.
